Videos related to learning how to look for a job. NOT free.
I haven't had any cause to be this ambivalent for a very long time. I'm
not sure whether to crack up laughing, boil-over, or vomit - or any
combination of those!
The adventures of "Tad Shy"? Hysterical!
The "9th Planet" looks an awful lot like Saturn, the 6th planet, or is
this also about some kind of dyslexia too, where the numbers are flipped
over, to confuse 6 and 9? ;)
While it's true that I now fully accept as fact, that I'm a non-hostile
alien in an extremely hostile alien world, it never occurred to me that
I'm from some other planet, although it certainly feels that way almost
constantly ;)
"The Adventures of Tad Shy Among the Typicals
Interplanetary explorer Tad Shy, from the 9th planet, became stranded on
the 3rd planet. In order to survive he must learn to assimilate with the
native Typicals."
The "Typicals"? Sounds like the name of a CopyCat band ;) The "Herd" is a
better name ;) As for being stranded, "Stranded" is the first track on my
second album which I'm 2 tracks from demo completing: "Ignite The Sky" -
it also qualifies as an "Autism Anthem" ;) The "hook" in each chorus is:
"Sometimes I feel like I've been Stranded"...and like all my original
music, it comes deep from the heart...it's definitely not a happy tune
but it does encourage resolve and perseverance "despite the blows".
Then there's "Be Who You Are" from my first album; "Opening A
Channel"...another 'autism anthem'. I'd like to write at least one
'autism anthem' for every album...althought the gist of most of the other
tunes is in one form or another, a celebration of Individuality and/or
rugged Individualism in the face of Coercion to Conform.
"The short videos tell the story of Tad Shy, a fictional character from
another planet who is learning to take care of himself, find a job, and
develop relationships on a planet populated by socially-minded
“neurotypicals.""
Most of us 'veterans' of autism are quite adept at NT mimicry and can
very accurately 'infiltrate' NT places and events, and for that matter,
most of us also learned how to do that very well starting at a young age,
if for no other reason, to survive relentless bullying at school, a
veritable NT Zoo of horror...more than enough incentive...and "socially-
minded" is more like Socalist-minded Depersonalization-mongering Tyrants
who believe that everyone should be alike, or Else!
And just because an autistic i.e. neuroExceptional rather than
neuroTypical individual is simply NOT INCLINED to Behave according to the
'accepted' NT Standards of Behavior, despite their Coercion to do so,
that does NOT mean that they don't have the skills to do it or are
otherwise 'unable' to, it means, much more likely than not, that they
DON'T WANT to do it, Not that they can't. For example, starting with my
parents' constant nagging, I've Never been inclined, my entire life, to
make a practice of making eye contact - I simply Choose not to because I
not only don't believe it's necessary, but that it's a highly intimate
way of "probing" - so unless I'm going to be highly intimate with
someone, I won't make eye contact - but that certainly doesn't mean that
I don't have that 'skill'...because such a statement is yet one more form
of so much more Corecion to Surrender to Conformity, and I WON'T - I'm a
Rebel and when I don't believe in something, I don't go along with it!
What ever happened to VIVA LA DIFFERENCE? I'm thinking of possibly
writing another 'autism anthem' with that title.
What ever happened to all the hype about DIVERSITY?
What ever happened to all the hype about TOLERANCE?
Looks like "the Typicals" deserve a more Honest name; "the HYPOCRITES"!
