Sounds more like it was a Bad signal.

Very funny, guys! This is one reason I miss everyone. But this is the deadest I have ever noticed this group to be...

Only joking, but look, this is a really busy thread now. What are you all complaining about? I feel I might need a few days off to recover!

I forgot that words are pronounced slightly differently in different places.

Then I'm still confused. My original confusion had nothing to do with any potential accent. It had to do with the fact that you said good-bye after someone else indicated they hoped the quietness of the group was just a lull.

Saying bye to that sounded to me like a "write-off" which is very unlike the
Dolphinius I know.

Buzzard: "Hopefully this is just a lull ..."

Lull ... uh ... bye =
Lullaby

Dolphinius completing the sentence: "Hopefully this is just a lullaby."

A lullaby is a song sung to children to help them go to sleep.

That's all it was, just a bit of a feeble word-play / joke. I thought it was witty at the time because a lullaby closes things down for the night, as does saying goodbye.

Not that feeble; it was enough to get me to go look up the
origins of the word... which... oddly...
has some kind of biblical reference to a
"demon that steals children's souls in the night"
